LEAF PEEPING

Leaf peeping is a popular activity in the Forest of Dean now, it's great for all the family and encourages us all to enjoy the great outdoors. Originally Leaf peeping referred to people travelling to view and photograph the autumn colours and the term originates from the United States.  We all need to get out outdoors and enjoy our beautiful countryside and there are few places more beautiful than the gorgeous Wye Valley and Forest of Dean.  Whilst you're out there why not pick up a special leaf to remind yourself of the time with friends and family.  In order to keep your precious leaf in all its beauty, let me turn it into metal.  I can preserve the veins and markings for a lifetime by rolling your leaf onto metal, which, in the process, destroys your leaf but imprints the metal.  I can turn your leaves into silver pendants, copper brooches, and brass key fobs or anything else you can think of. I am based in the Forest of Dean so I'm local to the area.

So how does this work?

You go and walk anywhere you like and enjoy the fresh air.  You need to look for a dead leaf or two or even three! So the browner the better with a lovely crisp spine and veins.  Don't bother with leaves that are soggy and have been crushed underfoot.  Preferably if they have died and fallen into a bush and been dried by the wind.  That is perfect.  Pop them in a small box to protect them.  Give me a call or book a free appointment to have a chat about what I can do with your leaf or book below and we will sort out the details.
